A Student to Student Global Service Learning Project

Taking Education to Developing Worlds

A project that connects educators with students onsite in developing countries.

The Story

Skills 4 Living is 4North program that gives the opportunity for students in developing countries to learn in a different avenue and curriculum that they normally would not experience.

This program is run by teachers, 4North leadership, and volunteers on site in developing countries. It is an incredibly rewarding experience that gives the chance to both learn and have fun with a number of different activities spanned across multiple days.

"STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking. The end results are students who take thoughtful risks, engage in experiential learning, persist in problem-solving, embrace collaboration, and work through the creative process. These are the innovators, educators, leaders, and learners of the 21st century!"

".. to see those numbers grow every single day and to see them waiting at the gate was such an incredible and empowering experience."
